长期以来我一直在寻求中国传统绘画的工具材料和表现内容的边界问题及其在当代的语境中的可能性.试图表现当代人遭遇到的前所未有的文化上的混杂感受.同时迷恋于由类似壁画的斑驳肌理和从图像中抽离出的线条所构成的语言体系之中，并以此做为媒介将个人情感融入到现实主义的图像之中.
